The Groupe ABCM recognizes the importance of a responsible approach to today’s environmental and social challenges. Aware of its ecological footprint, the Group is moving towards more sustainable production practices based on four major axes: materials, energy, people and territory.
Raw materials management
The Groupe ABCM is implementing several initiatives to optimize the use of raw materials and minimize waste. For example, the recycling of lubricants is now standard practice, as is the full use of cutting tools until their end-of-life. What’s more, metal chips from machining operations are recycled into rollers, reducing waste and contributing to a circular economy.
Reducing energy consumption
When it comes to energy, the Group invests in technologies to recover energy losses and optimize efficiency. We have converted all our workshops to LED and have launched a photovoltaic project with a deployment target in 2030. As a precious resource, protecting water is also a priority, with measures to reduce its consumption and treat wastewater.
Enhancing the value of people and the region
The Groupe ABCM’s commitment also extends to human resources. Pooling human resources, working closely with employees and promoting know-how are essential pillars of the Group’s strategy. The company is also actively involved in local economic development, promoting partnerships with local businesses and supporting the circular economy in the Vendée region.
To support these commitments, the Groupe ABCM has been ECOVADIS certified since 2024.
